There is a new twist in the Kitui Gubernatorial race as the current governor Hon. Charity Ngilu drops bid to defend her seat for a second term in office.
Ngilu will now concentrate on Azimio presidential campaign.
The race will now be between former Governor Julius Malombe and former Senator David Musila.
Raila promised to give Ngilu a better position having been one of her die hard supporters. "I want to take mama to Nairobi," Mr Odinga said on Wednesday 15th June while campaigning at Mutha Township in Kitui County.
This is also seen as a move to ensure Azimio win the seat.

The Kitui county top seat was one of the most fought for with several opponents being in Azimio.
The Azimio flag bearer is currently holding a series of campaigns in the larger Ukambani which is also believed to be his strongholds especially after the return of Kalonzo Musyoka to the camp.
