The Former Chief Justice Breaks Silence on BBI defeat, says this to Havi

The former chief Justice has broken his silence regarding the BBI ruling, the ruling that termed the BBI process as being illegal was fronted by The LSK president among other lawyers.

Dr. Mutunga was reacting to Nelson Havi's statement which has attracted mixed reactions from the public, the LSK president wrote, "Fortune favours the bold. Well done DP William Ruto. The people of Kenya were bereft of leadership and direction at this tipping point. They are now guided. ^DoS"

"Mr. President. The narrative of “the lesser of the two evils” betokens political opportunism. You have of course the constitutional freedom to associate with the political evil of your choice among the two... I applaud your honesty in shunning the politics of “running with the hare and hunting with the hounds.” That way you don’t face the consequences of being shunned by the hare and being devoured by the hounds." Dr. Mutunga wrote.

The Marakwet senator who was also against the BBI responded to Havi saying, Mr President I remember that fateful evening when we discussed “basic structure”and”eternity clause”and “unconstitutional constitutional amendments”.Everything looked farfetched and impossible. Congratulations to you and the whole team.Congratulations toto to all unnamed prophets"

Here is what netizens had to say to Dr. Mutunga's sentiments; The real hustler, "Why didn't you of all people spear head the litigation to oppose the BBI. Since you retired as chief justice you just sit on the fence & judge or is it what you are used to! Your hate for Ruto is well known but many more than you Love him in equal measure! Don't be jealous!"

Barnabas, "It intrigues a lot that all a bait does on a hook is in capturing the very vulnerable, sometime gluttonous prey. But as rightly stated: one's at liberty to sooth an own ego."
