After meeting Kirinyaga Women representative Purity Ngirici and Governor Ann Waiguru, who are bitter rivals of his team, the Hustler Nation, at ACK Kianyaga, in Kirinyaga County, Deputy President William Ruto elicited mixed reactions following his actions.
All eyes were on Vice President William Ruto to see how he would handle the Kirinyaga situation and keep the party united in the region. However, the deputy President played it smart by embracing the two leaders and posing for a photo between the bitter rivals, Governor Ann Waiguru and Ngirici, as residents cheered them on before greeting other leaders.
Kenyans applauded Dp Ruto's decision, hailing him as a wise leader. Some even went so far as to say that they are looking forward to seeing how Ruto manages the two leaders and reunifies the United Democratic Alliances.
Some Kenyans believe Ruto should allow Purity Ngirici to run for Governor of Kirinyaga while giving Ann Waiguru a Cabinet Secretary position in his administration. We will have to wait and see how Deputy President William Ruto handles the situation.
