"I Believe In Myself" Is Fred Ngatia Standing A Better Chance To Succeed Former CJ David Maraga?

While interviews aimed at seeking the next and best chief justice of the republic of Kenya continue and by the fact that today marks the day when the seventh candidate is being interviewed, members of the public continue to speculate who among the candidates best fit the position.

Today, Judge Fredrick Ngatia had been interviewed and a number of Kenyans still continue to express their hope that judge Ngatia becomes the next chief justice. Although many people thought that Ngatia's nomination is likely to be fueled by the fact that he represented president Kenyatta in the 2017 election petition, Judge Ng'atia stood to defend himself that his representation to President Kenyatta has nothing to do with his desire to become the Chief justice.

He added that after he had represented president Kenyatta in the supreme Court in 2017, he went back to his Private sector work since he was just representing president Kenyatta like he would represent any other client.

According to Citizen TV, the commissioners treated Judge Ngatia's Interviews like they did to any of the other candidates. However, Judge Ngatia had a simple and sober way of answering the questions, something that saw his interview taking shorter time than the other candidates. The question that sought clarification on this was posted to Judged Ngatia by commissioner David Majanja who indicated that it was a personal question. In his response, Ngatia revealed that he is not being manipulated by anyone to become the next Chief justice.

"My Lord, on the second Tuesday of August Next year, Kenya will be swearing in a new president, who will be someone different from his Excellency president Kenyatta", said Ngatia. He said this to mean that if he wins the favour of being the next chief justice, then he will serve at a time when president Kenyatta will not be a president anymore.

Besides all these claims on Ngatia, He is still showing the highest level of understanding the law than any other interviewed candidate.
