Ntutu Chances of Winning the Governor Race Slims As He Settles on a Non-Masai deputy.

Patrick Ntutu has surprised the residents of Narok county as he chose Engineer Mathew Kipkorir as his running mate. This has attracted mass speculations from the county residents who wanted a Masai in that position. He announced publicly that upon his investigations and considerations he found the Engineer to be the best for that position. The former Labor Administrative Secretary picked the candidate in an urge to ensure ethnic balance in the county leadership and to also ensure that the youth are represented. He said that Narok county is not only occupied by the masai community but also the Kalenjin and other communities. This has given the Kalenjin tribe in the county huge hopes in the leadership of the former state secretary. Among the masai, he has not yet gained support from them as they believe that the position of a deputy governor should be given to them as they are the majority in the county.

The chances of Ntutu winning the gubernatorial race continue to be slim among his tribal members but are high among the other tribes in the county. His rival from the Azimio coalition, Richard Moitalel Kenta, is still enjoying massive support as he has settled on choosing a fellow masai as his running mate. The competition among the two are still high and neither of them has shown to have over 50% support in the county. As the August polls near by day new strategies will emerge and they are likely to determine who will win the gubernatorial position.
