Former Commissioner of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Roselyn Akombe has lauded Siaya Governor Jams Orengo after he hosted President William Ruto on Saturday during his visit to the Nyanza Region.
Ruto toured Homa Bay and Kisumu County on Friday, and later toured Siaya county after which he attended the home-coming ceremony of his ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.
Taking to her Twitter account Akombe said that the governor's roles fits Orengo, who despite being in the opposition camp played a great host to the president and the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
"The Governor job suits you very well James Orengo. In the end, it is delivery of services to citizens that matters most. Wishing you all the best as you work for the people of Siaya," she tweeted.
In his message after Ruto's tour, Orengo said, "It was an honour hosting President @WilliamsRuto in Siaya County today. In the spirit of the two levels of government being inter-dependent and conducting mutual relations based in consultation and cooperation we welcome and thank the national government for its support.
