"Today, the might and the powerful come to the realization that it is the simple and the ordinary that eventually make the choice. Let's all of us submit to the authority and the power of votes as exercised by every Kenyan," United Democratic Alliance Party Candidate William Samoei Ruto has spoken out after casting his vote in Sugoi.

Adding that "It is upon all of us to respect the choices of the people of Kenya as it will be done today in every part of the Republic of Kenya and I look forward to a victorious day."
