Lusaka on his part revealed sacrificing his political ambition to be a presidential running mate in order to vie again as governor following widespread complaints from residents of Bungoma.
"As number 3 in the country, the logical thing for me is to serve Kenyans in an even higher capacity but because what is happening in our county I have decided to return back and pick from where we left."
Lusaka urged youth to take advantage of upcoming IEBC second mass voter registration that is scheduled to start in January and register as voters for their voice to count in the August polls.
Wetang’ula had earlier on defended IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati, he asked leaders across the political divide to offer the electoral body all the necessary support to avoid a repeat of 2017 fracas.
"Let us not set-up Chebukati to fail so that the country can have problems. I urge the treasury, the police and parliament to support IEBC for them to deliver a free, fair and credible poll."
