In Kenyan political history, honorable Raila Amollo Odinga has been considered to be one of the most powerful politicians in Kenya. In his political career, Raila began his politics by being a member of Parliament of Langata constituency found in Nairobi city where he held the office for 20 years uninterrupted. The son of first vice president of Kenya Oginga Odinga has been known to evoke mixed reactions from people, no politician has divided opinion like him.
In addition, Raila have been biggest presidential aspirant since 1997 where he became third. In 2002 he supported Mwai Kibaki bringing early lead in the election. In the next general elections after 2002, Raila has been becoming the second in presidential election some of them which he felt he won leading to divided power.
Former Nyanza province is his strong hold where he have numerous supporters. In fact, people in the region has given him several nicknames such as ; Tinga (Tractor), Agwambo (Mystery or the unpredictable), Baba (Father), Jakom (Chairman), Hummer among many others.
Raila gained many supporters after his sacrifices to fight corruption and dictatorship in the government. In addition, he is the politician who served longest term in Kenya alive. He was imprisoned between (1982 to 1988) and between (1989 to 1991). What a great man! Having said that below are amazing of Raila Odinga.
