UDA National Elections Board (NEB) has postponed the April 14 nominations in Nakuru Town West over what they have termed as unforeseen exigencies.

They have, however, scheduled the nomination on April 19, where it will take place concurrently with those of Nandi Hills Constituency which was postponed after the death of the aspirant.

However, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party supporters have held a demonstration in the area over allegations that one aspirant is et to receive a direct nomination ticket.

The residents said that they were willing to vote for their favourite candidate and it will be bad if their beloved party decides otherwise. The part administration has not commented on the matter so far.

UDA has so far given some of its aspirants direct tickets in some areas. Some of them include Johnson Sakaja, Millicent Omanga and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru among others.

“Demos in Nakuru Town West over the postponement of UDA nominations in the constituency over allegations that one aspirant is set to receive a direct ticket,” Radio Citizen tweeted.
