Harambee Annex Communications Director Emmanuel Talam has informed that what is happening in the Mt Kenya region is a hunt on those politicians allied to DP Ruto extending that after the crackdown there is something good in the offing.
Talam has revealed that soon after the dust settles, Mt Kenya region leaders will meet and discuss their way forward including providing the name of their next leader whom they will endorse to replace the current kingpin President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"The crackdown on leaders from the Mt Kenya region is consistent with the politics of the region. When the dust settles a leader will emerge," Emmanuel Talam.
The remarks by Talam are a reaction following what has happened to one of their lieutenants Mathira Member of Parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua following the Friday arrest by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
Mathira MP Gachagua's arrest has been described as a continued political hunt against all leaders allied to DP Ruto with Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei saying that "Hon. Rigathi Gachagua was arrested in Nyeri by DCI sleuths as a wider strategy of intimidation and blackmail of Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto allies. We shall overcome again!. The dawn is almost near."
