
Hon. Rigathi Gachagua has now revealed that indeed that being picked as the running mate really divided Mt. Kenya region. Speaking on Inooro Fm, Mr. Gachagua described their relationship as that of brothers and sisters before the issue of running mate and that helped them offer their total support towards Ruto's Presidency. However, this changed the moment there was favours to grab.

He went saying that the issue of running mate is like choosing a wife. Thus, it's only the husband who knows what he wants in a wife that matters and not the opinion of the people. According to opinion polls, many people wanted Tharaka Nithi Senator Professor Kithure Kindiki who even garnered 25 votes out of 30 leaders who were present during that day.

On the other hand, Professor Kithure Kindiki Co formed that he was the hot candidate supported largely by almost whole of Mt. Kenya leaders. He however agreed to get contented with the decision and will be uniting leaders to vote for the UDA leaders.
