DP Ruto is touring the coastal region and today he stopped over at Kongowea market where he attracted a huge crowd.
He was accompanied by Nyali MP Mohamed Ali who helped him make promises to the people including telling them that Ruto's government will aim at making hustlers sit on the same table with the rich through the bottom-up economic model.
As Ali was finishing his speech, he advised Kongowea residents not to trust ODM and their 'Azimio la Umoja' agenda because they will not succeed.
He went ahead and forced them to take an oath of loyalty to the United Democratic Alliance party and promise to vote for William Ruto. He made them raise their hands and repeat words after him which were about swearing to vote in the DP.
He said, "Nikimalizia nataka kusema hivi, leo tumebaki peke yetu Kongowea lakini watakuja 2022 wakisema Azimio la Taifa. Sisi tunawaambia Hilo Azimio lenu mtazimia huko mlikotokea. Wangapi wa UDA hapa? Nataka tukule kiapo. Haya inueni mikono na mseme mimi mwanakondoo mzalendo, naapa ya kwamba ntampigia kura William Ruto."
The crowd followed his instructions and repeated his words. However, citizens have a right to choose who they want to vote for without being forced or compelled by anyone.
