Presidential hopefuls seeking to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta have camped in Mount Kenya Region in search of a suitable running mate and woo voters of their votes thanks to the region's high number of votes.
On Thursday, Mudavadi stole the show at Safari Park when the OKA team was hosted by the Mount Kenya Foundation when he publicly praised former Justice Minister Martha Karua by terming her as an iron lady and a tough negotiator, further telling the region how 'lucky they were to have such a leader.
According to the Sunday Standard, Mudavadi's remarks had an agenda of indirectly revealing that he is 'courting' Karua, although the political alignment is in the first stages.
The publication indicates that Mudavadi-Karua ticket is being fronted by a team of 11 members of the National Redemption Council which comprises of a CS, several political party leaders, a former Chief Justice and some presidential aspirants.
The line up and its intentions will be made public at a later date, with the members of the Mount Kenya Unity Forum supporting it.
