New Twist As Former KANU Loyalist Forms Own Party

Deputy president William Ruto has been dealt a big blow after a KANU defector and former Gideon Moi's right hand lady forms her own party. The KANU queen had been said to be joining TangaTanga.

After her resignation from the KANU party, the William Ruto team was quick to rush to her. She however didn't resign to join another team as reported but to create a space of her own in Kenya's political space. 

“Over my years as a gold member, I have had the opportunity to meet great leaders of the party and learned many lessons that I will truly cherish in my future pursuits as I move to the next chapter of my life,” the resignation letter reads in part.

Damaris Too will launch her party on the 10th of June where she will unveil the party name, officials, and its manifesto. Even before then many have shown interest in running on the party, she revealed that she had received numerous calls from political bigwigs some she says want the direct nomination.

"I have received calls from Governors...MPs, And some people... Some want direct nomination... Some say they want to be SG...," she revealed.

The party is expected to fill the gap created by the unceremonious ending of the Jubilee party, her former party KANU has no vigor that many politicians wish to associate with.
