Following the elections on August 9, President Ruto allegedly took action against Uhuru Kenyatta. Although deliberate, his acts were bold. Due to the president's efforts to ensure his intense involvement in the peace process, Uhuru Kenyatta is essentially out of touch with Kenyan political issues.
President Ruto advised Uhuru Kenyatta to put less of an emphasis on domestic politics and more on global issues. On the other hand, without the assistance of the outgoing president, Ruto has had the chance to quickly assemble his government.
There has been conflict and unrest in the DRC Congo in addition to Ethiopia, where Uhuru Kenyatta has been active. Uhuru Kenyatta is currently recognized as East and Central Africa's top diplomat as a result of the responsibilities assigned to him.
In favor of concentrating on the responsibilities that Ruto gave to him, the former president Uhuru Kenyatta has largely shied away from Kenyan political issues. However, because Uhuru is acting at the president's request, Kenyans are anticipating what he will do.
