Big Win To President Ruto After Being Named Most Influential African Leader On Twitter

William Ruto the fifth president of Kenya is the most well-known African leader on Twitter in 2022.

According to the Burson Cohn and Wolfe (BCW) Twiplomacy report on the 2022 World Leader Power Ranking which was published on Wednesday, December 7.

Additionally, from position 19 in the 2021 global ranking to position 13 in the 2022 ranking President Ruto advanced nine positions.

Presidents Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa and Yoweri Museveni of Uganda are the second and third most influential figures on the continent social networking sites respectively behind only Ruto.

The President was ranked third among New World Leaders by Twiplomacy.

An examination of data gathered between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022 served as the basis for the ranking.

You can't take the social out of social media, even for politicians at a time when Twitter new leadership has cast doubt on the platform's future for digital diplomacy.

Big personalities, geopolitical heft and a sizable domestic following are all present in the top three which together determine a world leader's influence on the platform.
