Judge Morara broke silence after CJ Koome completed reading as he revealed that the BBI bill cannot come back again unless the is started afresh. He revealed that Raila Odinga should start the bill differently and he should follow the right procedure to avoid being thrown away.
He revealed that the court did its work as per the constitution and they did not have any pressure from those who file the case. He revealed that the government should now focus on pushing the bill through the parliament instead of creating a referendum.
According to CJ Koome, she revealed the bill is unconstitutional simply because it did not follow the procedure of the 2010 constitution, and also president Uhuru Kenyatta played a bigger role in supporting the bill. She declared that the IEBC official was ready to hold the referendum but the issue of creating the new electoral boundaries was wrong and it should have been done a long time ago.
