The deputy president William Ruto has gone on the offensive on all Kieleweke leaders fielding strong candidates against them. He is clear that moving into the 2022 general election all Kieleweke affiliated leaders including governors are completely removed from office through the UDA wave.
The fact of the matter is that like in Laikipia, UDA is fielding former Laikipia governor to take on the current governor Nderitu Muriithi. In Kiambu, the deputy president William Ruto has gone on the offensive against Kimani Wamatangi already fielding a strong candidate who might bring the Senator down.
The fact of the matter is that UDA is largely a party of the Mt Kenya region going by the recently concluded by-elections where they have won against the dominant party of jubilee. It's clear Raila Odinga chances of winning Mt Kenya region is taking shape but he is yet to make inroads.
Moving into the 2022 general election, it's clear the battle is taking shape and the UDA wave is clear they will punish Kieleweke badly for refusing to join the UDA wave. However time is ripe as anything is just possible and probable and as always time will tell of what will unfold moving into the 2022 general election for a day in politics is clearly a very long time.
