Kabuchai Decides: Ford Kenya Candidate Trounces UDA Candidate In By-Election

The contest for parliamentary by election in Kabuchai was a litmus test for deputy president William Ruto influence in the western region.
His supporters and the entire Tangatanga brigade has been camping in the region to drum Support for their candidate Evans Kaikai.
Some of the elected leaders from the region like Didmus Barasa, Waluke who are a close ally of the deputy president and the supporters of the UDA candidate Evans Kaikai have been dealt with a blow in the concluded by election.
Majimbo Kalasinga Of Ford Kenya has won the seat by ganering 19254 votes that translates to 65% of the votes casted.
His closet competitor Evans Kaikai of United Democratic Alliance got 6455 votes translating to 22% of the votes casted.
The results means Wetangula is still the Kingpig of the region. The results has sent a strong signals to deputy allies from the region even as 2022 general election nears.
