ODM leader Raila Odinga has been making numerous trips to Mt Kenya recently, in attempts to woe the region into supporting his Presidential bid in what his diehards describe as "Raila is climbing the Mountain."
Nyeri town Mp Ngujiri Wambugu, a big supporter of Uhuru and Raila's handshake has claimed Raila is on the right track in his quest to climb the mountain.
Wambugu claims the region can't be coerced or intimidated into voting for any other candidate except Raila Odinga.
Mt Kenya is believed to be primarily behind Ruto's presidential bid, but Odinga allies have expressed confidence that the ODM chief will garner a sizable chunk of votes come 2022.
Historically, Mt Kenya has shunned Odinga by casting their ballots for one of their own during voting time, but allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta are hellbent in changing those statistics in 2022.
The ODM chief is looking to capitalise on his good relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
