Mark Barasa, a former member of parliament for Bungoma East, was found brutally killed and his body dumped at his property in Tongaren, Bungoma County, days after he vanished without a trace. His family is in misery as a result.
The family initially believed that the 99-year-old former MP, who has Alzheimer's disease, had forgotten to go home due to memory loss. The left hand, tongue, and eyes were all missing from the burned body of Hon. Mark Barasa.
The body is currently at the mortuary of Cherengany Nursing Home, where a postmortem examination is anticipated to be carried out to determine the cause of death in order to support the investigations meant to identify the offenders.
From 1963 to 1969, Mark Barasa was a member of parliament. 27 children were born to his 4 spouses. He will be noted for encouraging growth in the area. Our deepest sympathies to the family and friends.
