The Presidential results are currently the talk of the country as Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission works hard to beat the Monday deadline.
The commission started verifying results from constituency Returning Officers who are submitting the original copies of the form 34A and 34B to the chairman, Wafula Chebukati who will then verify the results and tally them for Presidential candidates.
As of Sunday 6.30AM, the commission had managed to tally a total of 7,140,101 from 141 constituencies out of 291. From the tallied votes, Kenya Kwanza's William Ruto is ahead of his rival, Raila Odinga with a 51.27% lead being 3,660,876 votes against 48.07% of Raila being 3,432,504 votes.
As at 7.40am, 99.95% of form 34A had been uploaded to IEBC's portal whilst 93.13% of form 34B had been uploaded to the portal. A huge contest is expected as tallying edges closer to the end with both Azimio-OKA Coalition Party and Kenya Kwanza anticipating a win from the general elections.
