Deputy President William Ruto is keen on capturing the votes of thet Kenya region to catapult his presidential bid in the August 9th general election.
Ruto has today bagged another win in Mt Kenya after court ordered Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to clear his key ally to vie in August.
Court has ordered IEBC to clear DP Ruto's UDA Candidate Karungo Thangwa to vie for Kiambu Senator race in the August polls.
High Court judge has ruled that there is no evidence of graft that led to removal of aspirant from office thus cannot be blocked from contesting in the August polls.
Justice Rachel Ng'etich set aside IEBC's dispute resolution judgment that Karungo cannot be allowed to run for the seat since he had been removed from office as CEC in the Kiambu County government on graft allegations.
