In a post on Facebook by Tuko, former Harambee stars and Inter-millan midfielder McDonald Mariga was attacked on Monday on a campaign trail in Kibra Constituency. 
Mariga was seen in a viral video in Facebook, entitled 'Kibera ni kwetu' . His one hand was wrapped in bandage indicating that he was sustaining injuries. In the video, he accused his opponents of hiring goons to disrupt his rally hence creating chaos.
Mariga is vying for the Kibra parliamentary seat for the second time in the coming August election with UDA ticket. This is after he vied last time using Jubilee party but he did not manage to win. He lost the seat to Imran Okoth who contested the seat on ODM ticket.
McDonald Mariga condemn the violence and vowed to continue with his compaign.
I wish Mariga to recover quickly and embark on his compaigns. I also wish him success in the coming election.
