According to the Laikipia Woman Representative, she has informed that the Constitution protects the rights of all political parties and that, there is a need for the people of Mt Kenya region to know that for many years they have been turned into political beggars cautioning of a repetition of the same should they fail to plan ahead of 2022.
Hon Catherine Waruguru has said that it's true the Mt Kenya region is divided and requires leaders to come together and bring the people together.
"As the Kikuyu community, we have, over the years, agreed to reduce ourselves to political beggars during the electioneering period because we lack unity of purpose. We are a divided house and cannot blame anybody when other parties come to woo the mountain," Ms. Waruguru said.
Cautioning about DP Ruto's statehouse bid, the Laikipia Woman Representative has said that for DP Ruto he has already made an entrance to the region warning that should the leaders of Mt Kenya fail to cooperate her included, then, DP Ruto will take an early win in 2022.
"The only person who is on record saying he does not want to join hands with other political parties is Dr. William Ruto with his UDA party. Dr. Ruto is cooking a meal for his children. We will cook for our Mt Kenya people otherwise Dr. Ruto will scoop the seat very early in the morning," she added.
