Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru Alleges Rigging of Votes in Kianyaga, Kirinyaga County

The general elections in Kenya was conducted yesterday and the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is currently working on the tallying of the votes.

Kirinyaga incumbent governor Anne Waiguru has claimed that there are rigging plans in one of polling station in Kirinyaga county.Taking to her verified twitter account , Waiguru has claimed that two ballot papers with governor's ballots have entered Kianyaga through the back door.

Waiguru has alleged that that this was a sign of broad daylight rigging of elections and has ordered the counting of votes in the center to stop.

"Rigging in broad day light??? - Two ballot boxes with governors' ballots enter Kianyaga through the back door in broad daylight! They MUST be removed and tallying MUST stop!"Waiguru tweeted.

Waiguru is contesting for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat for the second time under UDA party.The commission is yet to announce the winner for the Kirinyaga seat as the votes tallying is still ongoing.
