William Ruto has been on the public limelight after Fred Matiangi, the minister of interior revealed that William Ruto owns the ADC- Mutara land in Laikipia. The land is perceived to be a 'paradise' or 'canaan' in Laikipia. However, William Ruto came out to denounce the ownership. He also went ahead and adviced the CS to subdivide to the residents of the area. The former prime minister Raila Odinga has been accusing William Ruto of corruption.
Nevertheless, the nation media magazine date 21st of September 2021 has linked William Ruto to the chaos experienced in the ADC farm. They are claiming that even though he might not be a clear owner of the land but sources indicates that he has the interest. Kenyans reacted to the news overwhelmingly. Some defended the Deputy President(DP) saying that the deep state is trying every means to fix the DP. Some also argued that if indeed the DP was corrupt as claimed by some individuals then he should be in court.
