Orange Democratic Party has taken a cool walk in Bonchari Constituency after win against United Democratic Party and Jubilee Party.
The seat was left vacant after the death of area Mp John Oroo Oyioka. The late was elected under People's Democratic Party.
ODM's Pavel Oimeke emergency the winner hafter he garnered 7057 votes closely followed by Mama Teresa Oroo 6801 votes the widow to the late Mp and the 3rd Jubilee Party candidate Zebedeo Opore 6332 votes.
Earlier the ODM party through it's Secretary General Edwin Sifuna recorded a number of voter bribery and harassment from state officers, blaming Cabinet Secretary of Interior Fred Matiangi for all the challenges faced.
There was a number of arrests and voter intimidations experienced during the process and Party's Treasurer Timothy Bosire and Janet Ongera escaped arrests.
The elections was a clear litmus test for ODM popularity in Kisii region and larger Nyanza region.
It should not be celebrated because the ODM's candidate has emarged the winner with a slightly difference of 250 votes.
This difference means that UDA is growing after losing Matungu and Kabuchai by-elections.
