Speaking on Saturday at Kongwea Market in Mombasa, deputy President Wiliam Ruto came out, promised Kenyans that he has a well-planned program for the Constituencies when elected to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022. The deputy head of state said he will make sure every Kenyan from every Constituency will benefit from his already planned financial program. Dr. Ruto said that his government will allocate 120 million Kenya shillings to the Constituencies every year to help Members of Parliaments(MPs) take care of the people in their respective Constituencies.
Dr. Ruto explained that the fund will run parallel with Constituency Development Fund(CDF) that the government has always given the Counties. Hon Ruto said that the Counties can work better if a sufficient amount of money is given out to help the governors carry out financial challenges in their respective Constituencies.
The deputy head of State stated that the 120 million his government will give to Constituencies will be used majorly to fund the small enterprise businesses in the Constituency. This he said will help his government achieve its Bottom-Up economic model that aims to raise the status quo of Kenyans from the bottom.
