Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has left Kenyans with mixed reaction after his advice to the remaining three IEBC commissioners hours after Justus Nyang'aya wrote a resignation letter to President William Ruto.
In his his remarks, Ngunyi has asked the three commissioners who converged at Serena to disown presidential results of the last general election anounced by the electoral body chairperson Wafula Chubukati to leave the office at their own pleasure.
His sentiments came shortly after Nyang'aya wrote a resignation letter to President William Ruto. Nyang’aya wrote did this after Ruto suspended the four on Friday morning following the recommendation of the National Assembly's Justice and Legal Affairs Committee.
The remaining three commissioners include Vice Chair Juliana Cherera, Commissioners Irene Masit and Francis Wanderi.
On Friday, Mutahi Ngunyi tweeted, "Honourable thing for the Cherera four is to resign from IEBC. It is that simple.”
