What DP Ruto Said About Mt Kenya That Has Got Kenyans Ganging Up Against Him

Deputy President William Ruto’s tough stand about Mt Kenya region has elicited reactions from Kenyans who have told him he should not be too confident.

Ruto during a rally in Isiolo ridiculed his political opponents who have been meeting the Mount Kenya Foundation saying he doesn’t need to meet the tycoons adding he will get all the votes he needs from hustlers.

A section of Kenyans have however told the second in command that he needs to work harder to secure the Mt Kenya region unlike ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Kenyans further hit out at the DP after reports that his team claimed he is the Mt Kenya kingpin as they asked him to stop camping in the region if he is sure of the Mt Kenya vote.

“Ruto lost it all when he said he's Mt Kenya Kingpin, he shouldn't have disrespected President Uhuru Kenyatta. Now the residents are seeing the light, they are saying NO to Lies and Propaganda,” said Dominic Omondi.

“Don't lie to yourself that Mt Kenya is with you. Where the tycoons go is where the votes will go. Mt Kenya always votes as a block,” said Moses Kiplagat.

“If the current support Raila Odinga is enjoying from Mt Kenya is genuine, Ruto might be destroyed slowly and completely,” said Patrick Amkanga.

“Raila only needs 20% to 30% from the mountain to be declared the president, while Ruto needs 95% from the mountain to become the president, an almost impossible mission for Ruto,” said Edward Jamal.

“William Ruto spent 8 years selling lies to Kikuyu nation. He thought he would lock out Raila Odinga. The ground is shifting. Raila is literally climbing the mountain. Can someone check on David Ndii,” said Rein Asamo.

“William Ruto stop campaigning and doing 6 harambee every Sunday in the mountain kama wewe ni mwenyeji..... You started that campaign 2017 but still a visitor there,” said Denno Ratemo.
