Raila Amollo Odinga is a renowned Kenyan politician. Odinga is the son of the first Vice President of the Republic of Kenya Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
Raila Odinga has been in Kenyan politics for many years. He has also vied for the presidency five times and in all those attempts he has failed. He contested in 1997, 2007, 2013, 2017, and 2022.
Odinga had a better chance in 2022 because he had support even from by then the sitting President Uhuru Kenyatta among many other prominent leaders but he was defeated by William Samoei Ruto of Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
During the campaigns, Odinga used to say that this was his last bullet toward the State House. Therefore many people have been waiting for him to announce his retirement from politics.
Do you think he is planning to retire? Yesterday, while in Mombasa County Raila Odinga indicated that his supporters should not lose hope because he is not retiring from active politics any time soon.
