Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga is turning heads as he has taken Tik Tok by storm, a social media platform whose audience mostly comprises of the younger generation with content creators the biggest beneficiaries of the platform.
The Nyeri governor is a few of the older generation who are becoming active in the platform with his posts eliciting mixed reactions from Kenyans who appear to have been taken aback by the governor's choice.
Mutahi posted his first Tik Tok video on June 19, 2021, which has garnered over eight thousand likes with his most-watched video amassing fifty thousand views from active users on the platform.
In the video, Kahiga is seen giving a vivid description of the cold weather to his audience while donning a casual long-sleeved shirt and it has received numerous engagements because it is filled with comics.
"Good evening, it's another chilly night, pretty cold and I'm here trying to do a fire because it's really cold. Hope we can make it better. Well, thank you," Kahiga says in the video.
One follower feels their governor is the best Kenyan Tik toker and revealed they call him the digital governor because of his knowledge in using Tik Tok.
