Kenya Kwanza Trails Azimio In Latest Opinion Poll On West Pokot Gubernatorial Race

If elections were held today, Deputy President William Ruto's bid to take control of the West Pokot county through United Democratic Alliance party candidate Simon Kachapin would fail, this is according to latest opinion poll by Mizani Africa group.

The polls suggests that Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party candidate Incumbent Governor Professor John Lonyangapuo who is running on his Kenya Union party, would Comfortably defend his seat.

The first time governor commands the lead with 52.6% as Simon Kachapin comes second with 41.7%. Another Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party candidate Deputy governor Nicholas Atudon who is running on Gideon Moi's KANU comes third with 3.2% as 2.5% of voters are yet to decide on their Preffered gubernatorial candidate.

This indicates that despite Kenya Kwanza's spirited campaigns against Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party in the Rift Valley region, defiant governor Lonyangapuo would still prove his might if the polls are anything to go by.
