Raila Odinga's Address to Meru Residents Disrupted as Locals Chant Pro-Ruto Slogans

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga's get on Mt Kenya is seemingly becoming steeper going by the pro-William Ruto slogans that met his address in Meru.

The Orange supremo who is on a charm offensive to win the hearts and quite five million Mt Kenya votes has been intensifying his campaigns in every corner of the region in recent months.

In the same meeting, the four-time presidential candidate also said the Building Bridges Initiative was just on half-time and can soon resume but the Ruto chants persisted.

This unravelled just every day after President Uhuru Kenyatta asked his "soldiers" in Mt Kenya to air the lookout for politicians who want to dupe them for his or her votes. In what appeared like an instantaneous attack at his deputy William Ruto, the president urged the locals to concentrate to each presidential aspirant that visits the region and meticulously scrutinise what they need to supply.

The head of state reiterated the time for politicking was yet to return and when it does, he will give the vote-rich region the direction it should take.
