Sunday was a bad day for Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino and his people. The MP had booked Jacaranda Grounds for his rally but on arriving at the venue, he found the Kenya Kwanza team already there as they claimed to have booked the same place earlier that Babu Owino. A war broke out between the two parties and some people were injured.
After the incident, Babu Owino sent a message to his supporters in form of a tweet. He thanked his people for having skipped the event and remaining peaceful during the chaos. The MP then said that those that had participated in the fight were hired by his opponents injuring one of his residents, Francis Mureithi.
"Thank you the Great People of Embakasi East Republic for being Peaceful. Our Supporters stayed at home.Hired goons were fighting for Ruto’s handouts unfortunately injuring the handouts distributor Francis Mureithi a resident of Embakasi East," Babu Owino.
