Busia Deputy Governor, H.E Arthur Odera has emphasized on the need of unity among the leaders from Busia County in fostering development and the welfare of the people.
"Development needs unity, no need for hatred instead let's join hands and work for our people for them to feel the difference" said the DG while addressing fundraisers at a harambee held at St Luke's Arthur Odera Onyunyur primary in Malaba North ward.
Hon Odera also encouraged the residents to embrace public participation since it gives them the opportunity to front their priorities in terms of development.
As County Executive Committee Member for Water, Environment and Natural Resources, he expressed his commitment to push for the completion of Angololo water dam to end the perennial water problems in Teso North.
The CECM for Trade Cooperatives and Industrialization, Hon. Fidel Omuse Olakachuna appreciated the County Government saying he has faith in it and that it is time for the people to witness improved service delivery from the county government.
His counterpart for Youth, Sports, Culture and Social Services, Hon. Paul Ikwenye acknowledged teachers as the light of the community and encouraged them to focus on their work to make the area move forward.
