Today, reports have emerged that the president of the republic of Kenya Dr William Samoei Ruto has made one major appointment on his goverment. As reported by the Citizen TV, Dr Ruto has appointed a former KTN News Journalist to a powerful post in Statehouuse Nairobi.
According to this publication, Ruto has appointed Mr Mike Gutonga to be the secretary of all the State functions in State house. Gitonga previously worked as a journalist at KTN News before making a quit. He is now the second journalist to get an appointment from president William Ruto after Hussein Mohammed who is now the spokesperson of the state house.
"Former KTN News anchor Mike Gitonga has become the latest journalist to make the transition from the newsroom to the corridors of power. This after he on Saturday announced that he has been appointed by President William Ruto to serve as the new Secretary State Functions." Said the reports.
