Embakasi East MP Hon. Babu Owino has urged the youths from Nairobi County to take up roles and vie for political leadership. Speaking in a meeting with youth leaders from Nairobi, Babu Owino said that in 2022 youths must be MCA, MP, but not vie for the presidency since Raila Odinga will be vying.
Giving an example of Fidel Castro, he asked them to participate in politics. He however warned them to be clear on whether they are supporting tangatanga or Handshake. He said that one should come clear and declare if they are white or black.
“The youth must decide the destiny they want. Hatitaki mabo ya kuyumbayumba leo youth ako hivi kesho tunakuona tangatanga. If you are white you are white. If you are black you are black. Fidel Castro was a president as a youth. Muammar Gadaffi was a president as a youth. What are you waiting for? 2022 a youth in Nairobi, a youth in Kenya must be MCA, must be Member of Parliament, hapo President ndio tusikuone,” he stated.
He also slammed William Ruto's Hustler narrative saying that Ruto is the biggest dynasty in Kenya. He supported his statement by saying that DP Ruto has served many years in government compared to Raila Odinga.
