Speaking to the press in Huruma grounds Buzeki said he almost won the 2017 gubernatorial seat despite being an underdog.
“ If Governor Mandago is going home and I made him run for his money what of this time when he will not be on the race, I am the best candidate for the seat since I know what the residents are going through,” said the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant.
Buzeki who vied for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in 2017 was defeated by the incumbent governor Jackson Mandago who is serving his second and last term in office.
Mandago has not yet declared his preferred candidate for the seat which has left many wondering who he will endorse.
He further gave a warning for all aspirants seeking to be elected as governor to be ready for a tight race saying it won't be easy for them.
“Those who will be seeking for the seat welcome to the race know that Buzeki is there and he is not a joke, get ready for a tight race. Once elected I will bring development to the county and I will serve everyone no matter his or her political affiliations,” said Buzeki.
Buzeki said he will do a final party for the incumbent Jackson Mandago where he will slaughter a big bull for residents to celebrate.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat has attracted many contestants which include Kenyan ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok, TSC commissioner Cleophas, Uasin Gishu SenatorMargaret Kamar Senator, David Kiprotuk, Jonathan Bii, Soy MP Caleb Kositany among others.
