Babu Owino Reveals Two Ministries He Could Have Been Given If Raila Won

If ODM leader Raila Odinga had won the presidency, claims Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili, also known as Babu Owino, he would have served as a Cabinet Secretary.

In an interview with NTV for a segment titled "Why Raila Lost," Babu said that he occasionally has trouble sleeping because of Raila's defeat.

He claimed to have secured a position in the Cabinet, possibly in the influential interior or education ministries.

I knew I would not be sitting in this office had Raila won; I would be serving Kenyans as a Cabinet Secretary for education or the interior, but look at me now, Babu told NTV. "Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and ask myself what really happened," Babu said.

In-depth accounts from close allies about why they believe the ODM leader failed to win the top seat in his fifth attempt were featured in the documentary.

Babu Owino claims that as soon as the BBI was ruled to be invalid, the Azimio team lost.

"Following the BBI defeat, we lost the election. All of these others were merely explanations for how and why Azimio lost "On Sunday, he remarked.

The Supreme Court invalidated BBI in March, putting an end to retired president Uhuru Kenyatta's attempt to use the document to enact significant constitutional amendments.

According to Babu Owino, the BBI was a decent document but was set up to fail due to legal errors from the start.

Given that Kenyans are grappling with the cost, according to Ruto, revising the constitution is not a top priority.
