Apart from the roadblocks that were put in different places in the country to restrict the movement of people from one place to another in counties such as Nairobi..The Kenya National and Highways Authority have announcement the closure of some roads in Nairobi county.
This closure will last for the next 20days as it was announced by the director General of Kenya National and Highways Authority(KENHA) ,Peter Mundinia. Ths two roads include Bunyala just at Bunyala Roundabout and the Nyayo roundabout a section along Uhuru Highway.
This is to pave way for the construction of the Nairobi Expressway along the Mombasa Road that begun on Friday 9th April. Motorists have been advised to be patient and use alternative routes as shown in the scheme below.
The services of the roads will be restored upon completion of the construction work after the 20 days so that things can get back to normal.
