Didmus Barasa, a member of parliament from Kimilili, has reacted to today's meeting between President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
After the meeting, the United Democratic Alliance politician praised the fourth president on his Twitter account on Monday evening.
Inquiring whether former Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has accepted Ruto's victory, he asserts that this is a sign that politics is over and that everyone should now focus on development.

President William Ruto, Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye, and retired President Uhuru Kenyatta met today to negotiate a peace agreement for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
After the meeting, Ruto tweeted that everything was going well and that peace is on the horizon for the people of the DRC.
In the most recent general election, Uhuru Kenyatta supported Raila Odinga's candidacy for Azimio la Umoja. This was notwithstanding William Ruto's ten-year tenure as Uhuru's deputy prime minister.
