Azimio La Umoja running mate Martha Karua and her Kenya Kwanza Alliance counterpart Rigathi Gachagua have a reason to smile after the High court made a ruling on having their images on the ballot papers.
Should the ruling made the High court stand, both Rigathi Gachagua and Martha Karua will have their images printed on the ballot papers alongside their presidential candidates.
Justice Mrima noted that the orders were timely and this should give the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission adequate time to print the images of the running mates.
It was further confirmed that this order will also apply your the running mates for the gubernatorial seats.
"Pending the hearing and determination of the petition, the IEBC will include the photograph or image of the persons who were nominated as Deputy Presidents and Deputy Governors in the ballot papers to be used in the General Election to be held on August 9".Judge ruled.
