Several county employees have reportedly been let go by the Nakuru County Government at the direction of Governor Susan Kihika since she took over a few weeks ago.

Lee Kinyanjui of the Jubilee Party, who had held the position for the previous five years and was seeking reelection, lost the seat to Governor Susan Kihika of the United Democratic Alliance.

New governors across the nation are purging the counties they inherited, claiming that most personnel were hired fraudulently on a large scale.
Seventy county employees who had been hired by the previous administration have been fired, according to the solid sources we have from Nakuru County.
According to the source who provided the information, the bulk of people fired were from the county's political office and other agencies, including drivers, protocol departments, and personal assistants from the office of former Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
