Allies of Deputy President William Ruto have mocked President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party after it failed to capture any seat during Tuesday's by-elections.

Jubilee had fielded candidates in Juja and Bonchari parliamentary mini-polls, as well as in Rurii ward by-election.

Preliminary results showed its flag bearer in Juja, Susan Njeri Waititu, emerged second to George Koimbori of People's Empowerment Party, which is led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.

In Bonchari, its candidate Zebedeo Opore emerged a distant third behind United Democratic Alliance (UDA) who emerged second, in the race which ODM's Pavel Oimeke won.

UDA's candidate won in Rurii taking the seat which fell vacant following the death of John Mburu Githinji alias Wasusana who belonged to Jubilee.

Tangatanga leaders said the defeat of Uhuru's party in the 3 polls showed the ruling outfit was on its deathbed.

"By August 2022 we shall have returned the name JUBILLEE to its rightful owners in the Insurance Business," said Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot said Jubilee performed dismally after it threw out Ruto, the deputy party leader, leaving clueless leaders in the steering wheel.

"Poor Jubilee. A powerhouse of a machine. Unfortunately the inventor who put up the machine together was kicked out. Now the amateurs in charge are struggling to locate the ignition key," Cheruiyot said.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa mocked President Kenyatta's government saying even after using unorthodox means to take the seats it still lost.

"The MESSAGE. NOBODY is more powerful than the People United against Dictatorship. No amount of state violence, bribery or intimidation could beat the people’s will in Rurii, Juja and Bonchari," Ichung'wa said.
