Eldoret County Commissioner Reveals Why Alcohol Will Not Be Sold To Area Residents On Election Day

In the process of ensuring peaceful election countrywide, Ministry of internal security and coordination of national government should work with the locals and also provide enough law enforcement officers during the election day so that any form of violence will be handled before it is too late.

Through TUKO news verified facebook page, Uasingishu county commissioner Mr Stephen Kihara has said that all entertainment joints in Eldoret town will be closed a night to the election day in order to ensure that area residents will exercise their democratic right while they are mentally stable.

He added that their is no secret that alcohol can affect the the normal reasoning of human being hence becoming a threat to peaceful coexistence. This happens as the country is only remaining with 18 days to go to the actual polls that will be held on 9th of August 2022.

All citizens are urged to remain peaceful during this electioneering period so that peace and prosperity will be maintained after the polls.
