The Parliamentary Service Commission has released names of top leaders who have been shortlisted for the male position of this commission.
From the reliable source 171 people applied for this top job and only 8 have been shortlisted.
The former governor of Kisii county James Ongwae are among the people who were listed. Ongwae was a long term supporter of Raila Odinga and he even made it to the gubernatorial position with Raila's Orange Democratic Movement.
The former county boss had been promised a cabinet secretary job by Raila Odinga during the 2022 general elections campaign. After Raila losing Ongwae together with other gusii leaders went to state house and assured president Ruto support from Kisii region.
