Leading is the close allies of both president Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Odinga who is also the Orange Democratic Movement ODM party leader.
From ODM, their Secretary General Edwin Sifuna is being touted as the person who can take over the role of the Nairobi county deputy governor.
However, Jubilee on the other hand is suggesting the name of former Dagoretti South constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Dennis Waweru as the possible person to take the position.
Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju has already noted that they have a name of the deputy governor who will be vetted by the County Assembly of Nairobi and sworn in soon.
Without revealing the details, Tuju said the handshake team has already settled on a candidate who will deputise Kananu should County Assembly approve him or her."We already have a candidate for the position," Tuju said.
The position of the deputy governor of Nairobi became vacant on Tuesday after the swearing in of Kananu as the county boss to take over from Mike Sonko who was impeached last December.
